fragment of a scabbard (for a knife?). Only the lower part remains.
Openwork decoration made of volutes and letters.
Only the last 9 letters of the name of Gemellianus remain : "ELLIANUSF".
The complete inscription is: "AQUIS HE GEMELLIANUS F".
"Gemellianus in Aquae Helveticae", the present city of Baden in Switzerland. The other bouterolles were found in Switzerland, Germany, Austria, Great Britain, Italy, Morocco, France.
The shape of the scrolls and the letters correspond to the type 1 of the productions of Gemellianus.
This is the 34th bouterolle signed "Gemellianus", known.
