Céramiques ratées de cuisson

Strasbourg (67) - Musée archéologique

© Musées de Strasbourg, M. Bertola

These ceramics testify to the presence of a potter's workshop in this sector of the Roman vicus of Koenigshoffen. They show significant deformations due to too much heat which caused an accident during firing. These vessels were found in pits that served as dumping grounds near the kilns.
