Monoxyle canoe made of oak, with two longitudinal slits at the ends. Traces of tools are visible on the inner bottom, as well as traces of charring.
Dating by C14 : year 870 - 1025
The tool marks, as well as the very old slits, suggest that the construction was abandoned or used for a very short time. The shape, profile and shallow draught of the dugout are characteristic of boats made to navigate in marshes.
