Lame de silex

Saint-Dié des Vosges [88] - musée Pierre-Noël

Flint blade probably carved in the Neolithic period. Collected in the alluvium of the Meurthe. In the absence of other finds, it is difficult to know whether the object was deposited by the alluvium or whether it was lost at this location. However, it is a new indication of the use of the upper Meurthe basin in late prehistoric times. It is perhaps the oldest object discovered in Saint-Dié-des-Vosges.
