Couteau, manche à tête de chien

Lyon [69] - Musée Gadagne

© Pierre Aubert, musée d'histoire de Lyon - Gadagne

The sculpture of this knife, typical of the Renaissance, is quite exceptional. On the handle appears a dog's head with large eyes, jowls and hanging ears. A braid of interlacing is developed on the handle itself.
